Miquel Pellicer is a Professor of Inequality and Poverty at the Center for Conflict Studies, University of Marburg and he holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the European University Institute in Florence. Previously, he was a Senior Lecturer at the School of Economics, University of Cape Town, South Africa, and a Senior Research Fellow at the German Institute of Global and Area Studies in Hamburg, Germany. He is interested in inequality, development, and political behavior and most of his research have focused on Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East.
