Background and Objective:
Macroeconomic policy in emerging markets faces significant challenges, including an uncertain global environment, rising global interest rates, and limited fiscal space following unprecedented global shocks. Despite these hurdles, emerging markets are becoming increasingly critical as determinants of the global economic outlook and as hubs for policy innovation and experimentation.

- Monetary and fiscal policy (both conventional and unconventional)
- Fiscal-monetary policy coordination
- Spillovers between emerging and advanced economies
- Debt sustainability and consolidation
- Capital flow management and macro-prudential policies
- Exchange rate dynamics and policy credibility
- Distributional effects of policymaking
- New data and methodologies for emerging market policies
