Mary Karumba is an Economist with the State Department of Economic Planning and Statistics of the Government of Kenya. She is a desk officer for Energy and Agricultural Sectors. She holds Doctorate Degree in Economics from the University of Cape Town, South Africa where she was attached to the Environmental Policy Research Unit (EPRU). Her research interests are rural electrification, clean energy, and development with a bias toward rural energy transitions.
