Martine Mariotti is a Senior Lecturer of Economics at the the Australian National University. She received her PhD From the University of California, Los Angeles in 2008 and her M. Comm. from the University of the Witwatersrand. Her research focuses on the economic and social effects of discrimination in South Africa during apartheid. Her research has been published in leading journals, including Economic Development and Cultural Change, the Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, and the Economic History Review.
