Dambala Gelo is an Associate Professor of Economics in the School of Economics and Finance, University of Witwatersrand and his research concerns applied microeconomics with a focus on institutional and organizational questions, differentiated product demand, technology adoption, poverty trap, human capital, and energy transition. He investigates questions from the theoretical bases of behavioral economics, game theory, decision theory, and the life-cycle hypothesis (LCH) model. He got his doctorate degree in Economics from the University of Pretoria.
