This course will cover selected topics in the economics of education. Topics will include empirical evidence on education inputs and outcomes, the human capital and signaling models of education, and estimating and understanding peer effects and teacher match effects. The course will focus on recent applied research, and each lecture will involve a discussion of one or two recent papers.
