This course will comprise four sessions as follows:

Sessions 1 and 2: Academic writing

These sessions will focus on introducing participants to key aspects of academic writing. This will focus on aspects such as structure, style, academic “voice”, and other conventions of the genre.

Sessions 3 and 4: Presenting your research

These sessions will focus on the development of basic presentation skills to enable participants to communicate their research to an audience. The focus of the sessions will be on the verbal and non-verbal aspects of effective presentations, structure and organisation of ideas and visual aids.
