Prof. Tim Swanson is the André Hoffmann Chair of Environmental Economics at The Graduate Institute, Geneva. In the international economics department, he teaches natural resource economics, international environmental problems, and growth. His research focuses on governance and institution-building issues at both national and international levels. Tim’s research agenda is focused on institutional design, governance, and institution-building. He has long researched how international negotiations and institutions impact the distribution of benefits (see, e.g., the research on the impact of the Montreal Protocol or the impact of IPR systems).
