Olusegun Akanbi is an Economist in the IMF’s Fiscal Affairs Department. Prior to joining the IMF, he was a Professor of Economics at the University of South Africa. He has professional experience in teaching, research, and policy-making, and his research interest is focused on macroeconomics and fiscal policies. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pretoria.
