Martin Wittenberg is a Professor in the School of Economics at the University of Cape Town and the Director of DataFirst. Before moving to UCT, he spent a decade teaching at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg and a year as visiting Professor at Princeton. He teaches graduate level courses in Econometrics and Microeconometrics and his research is in the area of data quality of household surveys, and the analysis of inequality and labour markets in South Africa.
