Julia Garlick is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Iowa. Her research interests include the microeconomics of development and entrepreneurship in developed and developing countries, as well as migration and intra-household decision-making. She teaches graduate labor economics and undergraduate intermediate microeconomics. She received her Ph.D. from Yale University in 2016, and her master’s degree from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
