Ferdi Botha is a Research Fellow at the Melbourne Institute: Applied Economic & Social Research, at the University of Melbourne, and the Australian Research Council’s Centre of Excellence for Children and Families over the Life Course. He obtained his Ph.D. in Social and Economic Sciences at the University of Antwerp, Belgium, and has conducted research on subjective well-being applied to a wide range of areas, including social- and family relationships, education, mental health, socioeconomic status, labor economics, and intergenerational transmission.
