Sean Muller is a Senior Research Fellow at the Johannesburg Institute for Advanced Study and an IASH-SSPS Visiting Research Fellow at The University of Edinburgh with a broad range of interconnected intellectual and policy interests like the use of social science, particularly the economic analysis, to inform public policy; philosophy of science; the dynamics of higher education systems, institutions, and academic disciplines; methodology and philosophy of economics; the use of randomized programme evaluations in economics and other disciplines, with a special emphasis on external validity and educational interventions. He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Cape Town.
