Paul Alagidede is a Professor of Finance at the Graduate School of Business Administration, University of the Witwatersrand. He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from Loughborough University. Paul has a rich background in economics and finance and visiting professorships at the University of Greenwich, UK; the University of Cape Town, South Africa; and the African Economic Research Consortium, Kenya. In terms of research, Paul’s focus has been on capital market development in emerging market economies, particularly, on the time series behaviour of asset returns: efficiency, volatility, and market microstructure.
