Obert Pimhidzai is a Senior Economist at the World Bank Group with a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Cape Town. He has ten years of cumulative research in a wide range of development policy issues including poverty and inequality analysis and measurement, the impact of public policies on child nutrition, welfare impact of food prices increases, agriculture supply response, economic impact of HIV and AIDS, labor market analysis, service delivery assessments and political economy and governance issues. He is also experienced in survey data collection and analysis, design and implementation of capacity building activities in the areas of poverty analysis, and design and implementation of impact evaluations and has strong applied microeconomics analytical skills, coupled with excellent econometric skills and use of statistical packages such as STATA, and EVIEWS for the management of survey data and time series data.
