Lukasz Grzybowski is a Professor at the School of Economics at the University of Cape Town, holding a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Munich and a Habilitation from Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne University. His primary fields of research are industrial organization and applied econometrics. His research includes the analysis of market power, switching costs, network effects, and demand-side complementarities in telecommunications markets. Before his academic career, Lukasz was an economist at the UK Competition Commission and a manager in the econometrics team at Ernst & Young in London. He is the editor of the Review of Network Economics and a Convenor for the Industrial Organization leg of the Trade, Competition, and Industrial Policy Research Programme at ERSA.
