Leeuwner Esterhuysen is currently studying towards his Master’s degree in Economics after passing his BCom Honours degree in Financial Economics (Cum Laude) in 2016. He has been studying at Stellenbosch University since 2013 where he first discovered his passion for economics and finance during his undergraduate BCom degree. He has a keen interest in technical economic analysis, whether it is mathematical or econometric modelling. His Honours research focused on the impact that the Global Financial Crisis of 2008 had on South Africa’s real and financial sectors. His Master’s research will be in the field of taxation and public finance in South Africa.

Leeuwner’s end-goal is to work in finance as an economic analyst, consultant or financial economist.
