Event type: Workshop
JEL Code: I11, I19
Event date: 30 June 2011, 4:00pm

Invitation to the ERSA symposium on Health reform on the 1st of July at the Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study. The symposium is funded by Economic Research Southern Africa, which is a collaboration between National Treasury and economic researchers from various SA universities. View the programme.
This symposium aims to contribute to the debate on health reform by discussing a number of core concerns. The goal is to move towards a common understanding of the problems with the South African health system and discuss solutions to these problems. It is envisioned as a forum for interaction between policy makers and researchers. Space is limited, so selection will be based on previous experience in the field.

This symposium is paired with the World Bank Health equity and financial protection analysis training presented by Caryn Bredenkamp and Adam Wagstaff on Thursday, 30 June at Stellenbosch University’s campus. Sponsorship from Economic Research Southern Africa (ERSA) for travel grants is available for a few participants. View information about the training.
If you would like to register for the symposium or the training, please send your names to Yoemna Mosaval ( Yoemna.Mosaval@econrsa.org).
