Hylton Hollander is an Associate Professor at the University of Cape Town and holds an Extraordinary Associate Professorship at Stellenbosch University. He is the Convenor for the Fiscal and Monetary Policy Research Programme at Economic Research Southern Africa and a council member of The Economic Society of South Africa. His research interests include international macro-finance, financial frictions in macroeconomic models, monetary theory and policy, sovereign debt and fiscal policy, financial (in)stability, and the macroeconomics of distribution and growth. Hylton obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from Stellenbosch University.
