Prizewinners 2013

On Tuesday the 3 June 2014 Monash South Africa held their Annual School of Business and Economics Academic Excellence Awards in Seminar Room 11, Building F, of the Campus. Below is a group picture of the prize winners who attended.

Monash Prizewinners 2012

Monash South Africa hosted its 2012 ERSA sponsored prize function on Monday 27 May 2013 in the atrium of the Monash Africa Center. Among the guests were prof Alain Kabundi (representing ERSA), lecturing staff from the School of Business and Economics, Economics tutors, prize winners of 2012 and partners, as well as best performing students of 2013. Ricardo Albuquerque could not attend the function. He is currently on exchange at the Sunway Monash campus in Kuala Lampur.

Monash Prizewinners 2011

Monash South Africa hosted its 2012 ERSA sponsored prize function on Thursday 24 May in the newly built Monash Africa Center on campus. Among the guests were prof Jan van Heerden (academic board member of ERSA), prof Joel Hinaunye Eita (Acting Head of School), Economics lecturing staff, Economics tutors, prize winners of 2011 and partners, and best performing students of 2012.

The prize winners were:

Joint best 2nd year Economics students in 2011:  Aurea Mouzinho and Gavin McLoughlin

Best 3rd year Economics student in 2011: Shaireen Dhanji

Second best 3rd year Economics student in 2011: Tiffany Lunenburg

Two of the prize winners were abroad and could not attend the function: Shaireen Dhanji is currently working in Karachi. Aurea Mouzinho is on exchange at the Sunway Monash campus in Kuala Lumpur.

Monash Prizewinners 2010

The Department of Economics at Monash South Africa held its 2011 ERSA sponsored prize function on Wednesday afternoon 1 June in HotSpot, a popular venue on campus. The guests were treated on soup, stirfry, bunny chow, pies and some sweets – exactly what we needed on the chilly winter's day. Among the guests were prof Steve Koch (academic board member of ERSA), dr Ise Niemann-Struweg (Head of School), Economics lecturing staff, prize winners and partners, best performing students of 2011 and representatives of student organizations.

Monash Prizewinners 2008

The Department of Economics at Monash South Africa held its first ERSA sponsored prize function on Wednesday 21 October in Hot Spot a popular venue on the campus. Monash only introduced an Economics major in 2007 and the first group of third years will graduate at the end of 2009. So the honorary guests at the function included the best performing 1st and 2nd year Economics students of 2008, the first group of 3rd year Monash Economics students and all the other dignitaries on campus.
